The Core Competencies for Early Care and Education Professionals in Kansas and Missouri was written by professionals from across the two states to serve as a guide to improve teaching and learning.
It is a valuable tool that you, as a child care professional, can use to assess level of knowledge and skill in each of the eight content areas, and identify specific areas of need for future professional development.
Child Start regularly uses the Core Competencies for development of it's services and every training provided falls within one of the competencies.
