Early Head Start Partnerships
Early Head Start (EHS) works in Partnership with Family Child Care Homes, and full day Child Care Centers to provide full day/full year child care services for families enrolled in EHS who are working and/or going to school full time. All contracted centers/homes are a part of the Kansas Early Head Start team, helping deliver quality services to the families enrolled in our program as outlined in the Creative Curriculum and the Head Start Performance Standards (education, parent involvement, social services, health/disabilities, mental health and nutrition).
The Kansas Early Head Start program requires caring, enthusiastic, well trained Caregivers and Teachers who are committed to provide the highest quality education and social services to children and families. All contracted childcare centers/homes will receive training and support in developing a quality program through EHS.
Benefits for Kansas EHS Partners:
- Child Care fees paid by Early Head Start for enrolled EHS children
- Free early childhood training.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) classes of self-study at no cost.
- Paid membership to Child Start.
- Technical support in the areas of education, social services and health.
