Child Start Resource Library Material Search

Now you can search the materials located in the Child Start Resource Library from home and see their availability.  If you find something you want you can come in during regular business hours, come during Resource Night, held the first Tuesday of each month, or call or e-mail referral and we can send you out the materials you request.

HOW TO SEARCH FOR MATERIALS ONLINE:


IMPORTANT: Do Not Use the Browser Navigation buttons Back and Forward.  Use the buttons and links on the AUTO LIBRARIAN.net screens to navigate the website.

 

HOW TO SEARCH MATERIALS:  Choose search criteria by clicking on appropriate book stack: Title, Author, Subject, Callnumber, Title & Subject, Combo (Title, Author, Subject, Publisher, Summary), or eMaterials Only.

Type the search text in the search window and click “any of these words” for an “or” search (each word in the search window is searched), click “exact match” for an “and” search (exact phrase must be found). Click the Search Now button. The results of the search will be displayed in a grid.  To sort the list click on the heading link to sort by that particular heading.  For example to sort by Call number click on the Call number heading.  To view a single record clicks the View link next to the record to be viewed. Click the Print link to Print the search results. Click Help link for searching help. Click Reset to begin another search.  Click Back to return to the Search Materials home page.  Click new search criteria book stack, or close the browser to complete your search session.

 

HOW TO VIEW eMEDIA CENTER INFO:  Click the Library Information and Events Calendar link below the book stacks to view either the Events Calendar which lists important library events and closing dates on monthly calendars or the Library Info page which lists information about the library such as hours, location, facility, website and other web links. Click Back button to return to the eMedia Center Info page and Home to return to the Search Materials home page. Close the browser to end your search.

 

HOW TO BEGIN AN INTERNET SEARCH:  Type http://www.autolib.com/ into the browser.  Click on Internet Research.  Click the Online Reference Desk Link.  From the home page a Google search can be started or searching with several other useful website links listed under the headings of References, Periodicals and Bookshelf as well as other Searches of colleges and libraries or other search engines.  The Google search engine is featured at the top of the page because of its filtering capabilities for filtering out adult websites not deemed appropriate for viewing in school sites.
