POSITION:              LEAD TEACHER

LOCATION:             Hilltop     

HOURS:                   40 hrs/wk, 44 wks/yr

SALARY:                $12.79-$14.03 per hour depending on education

REQUIRES:            A.A./A.S. in Early Childhood with minimum of 30 credit hours in Early Childhood; OR B.A./B.S. in Early Childhood or related field with 12 credit hours in Early Childhood.  One to three years experience working with young children in a classroom setting. 

DUTIES:                  Manage and supervise children's learning environment.  Plan lessons and activities for children, teach those lessons.  Review curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans.  Observe children and adapt lessons to their level.  Work with assistant teachers and volunteers.  Model and reinforce appropriate behavior.  Encourage children to try new learning activities.  Observe and record children=s behavior and progress regularly.  Document daily attendance, meal participation and fluoride administration.
